Highlighting singles play for the Wildcats was junior Michelle Gough who defeated Elizabeth Stone, 6-3, 6-4.

For the Miners, 57th-ranked Tanja Magoc outlasted sophomore Lindsay Blau, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Jana Perkova upset UA freshman Uzma Khan, 6-0, 6-3.

Highlighting doubles play, Blau and Khan were victorious in their match with Magoc and Perkova, 8-5. Gough and freshman Siri Fomsgaard outlasted Stone and Elna Madjerova, 9-7.

Arizona returns to action next Friday when they play host to Texas Tech at 1:30 p.m. MST.
