Lackey Leads Wildcats To Win Over USC On Saturday, 67-52

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Angela Lackey came off the bench to score 23 points as No. 16 Arizona beat Southern California 67-52 Saturday.

Lackey, replaced by freshman Krista Warren in the starting lineup, scored six straight points early in the second half to pull the Wildcats (15-3, 4-2 Pac-10) to a 43-27 lead.

She then made four free throws and an offensive put-back just after Southern California (7-8, 2-3) had cut a 16-point lead to three with 6:58 left.

Warren, in her first collegiate start, scored 15 points including Arizona's initial six points of the game.

The change came after Wildcats coach Joan Bonvicini questioned the intensity of several players in a 79-68 loss to 12th-ranked UCLA here Thursday night.
