ARIZONA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
STANFORD AT ARIZONA
JANUARY 8, 1999

"They were incredible shooting from the three-point line. We had opportunities, and we have to give Stanford credit for playing a great game."

"I am pleased we got to the free throw line right from the beginning, but we missed some key free throws. I am really disappointed in our execution of the offense."

"Lakeisha Taylor had an unbelievable game coming off of the bench, and I am really proud of our team."

"We definitely need to do a better job with our offensive execution and our half-court defense. We have a lot of room to grow, and this loss will make us better."

"We tried to help out too much inside on defense, and Stanford would pass it out and hit the three-pointer. They were so hot, and they had a lot of different players hitting the shot. They were very hard to double team when the ball went into the post."

"I am pleased with our rebounding, but we allowed them back into the game with our turnovers. Late in the second half, our full-court press paid dividends for us."

"It was tough. The officials called the game very tight, and they were consistent through the entire game."

"The trip to Washington next week is very important for our team. They're going to be out to get us, and we just need to take care of business on the road. When it comes to Pac-10 play, we can't take anyone lightly."
