Freshman Jason Gardner:
"I feel a little better. I got more rest. With some rest and medicine, I'll
be alright. I think Richard and everybody else know that he (Richard
Jefferson) just came back. All these games are big games. Hopefully, he
won't be nervous."

"I think by Stanford losing, it just gives us another shot. They are a big
team, we've got to run the ball and play well in transition. Be mentally
and physically ready."

"I think their defense is great, you can't really penetrate because they
are so big. Their pressure is different because they are so big. We are at
McKale, we're comfortable here."

On Mike McDonald:
"He runs his team well, he doesn't have to be an offensive player because
he has big guys down low."

Redshirt Freshman Luke Walton:
"They (Stanford) are deep, they're loaded with talent, they play well
together, and they have a good inside and outside game. We all did a good
job against their shooters last time. We've got to do it again. Casey
(Jacobsen) is really good at getting his shot off."

"Rich (Jefferson) was disappointed, but he's not in any way down on himself."

"This game is huge. We've lost two in a row. But we still feel we can win
the Pac 10 and get a one seed. We are still one of the best teams in the
country. By beating Stanford (again), we can prove that. It's not about
last weekend on Thursday, it's about us and Stanford."

"They seem like a team that is really close like us, always looking to help
each other."

Junior Justin Wessel:
"They are probably the most physical and deepest team we've faced all year.
With our thin lineup, it's going to be tough. Hopefully, we can pull through."

"Stanford is going to come in thinking that they have something to prove.
If they can come in and win in McKale, on our court, in front of our crowd,
they'll think they have been above us for the last few years. It's been us
and UCLA for so long."

"We just have to build off all the mishaps over the year. Hopefully, we can
get the number one seed. I don't want to travel too far. Whatever happens,
we can do some damage in the tournament."

Sophomore Michael Wright:
"I'm up for a full 40 minute game. We're going to be prepared because it's
a real big game. I think everybody is going to be really focused because
the Pac 10 championship is on the line."

On Mark Madsen:
"He is going to come out on Thursday, ready to battle. He does whatever it
takes to help his team to win."
