5.26.2000 Diggins Named 2nd Team All-American TUCSON, Ariz. University of Arizona sophomore pitcher/designated hitter Ben Diggins was named to the Louisville Slugger NCAA Division I All-America second team by Collegiate Baseball Friday. Diggins claimed the utility spot on the team after hitting .336 (41-for-122) with nine home runs and 34 RBI. As a right-handed pitcher, Diggins had a 10-4 record with a 3.83 earned run average in 17 games. He pitched 112 2/3 innings and struck out 127 opposing batters.
