A pair of preseason men's college basketball rankings have been released already and both have Arizona ranked No. 7 in the country.

Basketball News and the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook each pick Arizona as the No. 7 team in the nation for 1. The publications differ, however, on their No. 1 team. Basketball News tabs North Carolina as the No. 1 team, while Blue Ribbon has Michigan State in the top spot.

Basketball News also picked Arizona to win the Pac-10 title and has sophomore forward Michael Wright on the All-Pac-10 first team and its No. 6 "banger" in the country. UA freshman guard Jason Gardner was the magazine's preseason Pac-10 Newcomer of the Year.
