Wildcats Remain in First Place at Dick McGuire Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. The second ranked University of Arizona women's golf team continues to lead the Jones Intercable Dick McGuire Invitational after the second day of play with a team score of 2-over-par 586. The tournament is being held at the University of new Mexico Championship Course (Par-73, 6,069 yards).

Senior Jenna Daniels is tied for first place with Texas Christian's Angela Stanford and Texas' Kristin Dufour after each recorded a 3-under-par 143. Arizona sophomore Cristina Baena moved up 12 spots and is tied for 7th place, scoring a 1-over-par 147, while junior Jill Gomric advanced eight spots and is tied for 11th place, posting a 2-over-par 148. Freshman Julia Kraschinski dropped two spots and is tied for 14th place (3-over-par 149) and junior Christina Monteiro jumped 35 spots to finish the day in 31st place, shooting a two-day total of 8-over-par 154.

The final day of the 54-hole tournament is tomorrow with 18 holes of play.
