Shot a 67 to tie a qualifying record in the final round of qualifying for the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship in June... Won the California State Amateur Championship for the second year in a row this past summer as well... A first team All-American last year and finished the season as the nation's No. 4 ranked golfer... In her past 17 tournaments dating back to 1998, she has 11 top-10 finishes... In her career, she has 20 top-10 finishes.
Junior (1998-99): Finished in a tie for seventh place at the rain-shortened 1999 NCAA Championships... Had a three-round total of 8-over-par 224 (76-76-72)... Named to the Golfweek/Sagarin All-Far West District first teams and was a first team All-Pac-10 selection as a junior... Won the NCAA West Regional after firing a 5-under-par 211 (70-67-74)... Led wire-to-wire and won by four shots... Her second round 67 set a collegiate course record at the Pine Forest Country Club in Houston... Tied for 14th at the Pac-10 Championships after shooting a 9-over-par 225... Won the event the year before as a sophomore... Has the best stroke average on the team - 73.82... Finished in the top ten in the nation in four Golfstat statistical categories... Was fourth in Par-4 scoring (4.16 avg.), fourth in Par-5 scoring (4.90 avg.) and second in Subpar Strokes per Round (2.94)... In 11 tournaments, she placed in the top-10 eight times and owned the team's top stroke average (73.90)... She shared the medalist honors at the Stanford Intercollegiate in the fall with Washington's Elisha Au, after recording a 4-under-par 215 (72-74-69)... She tied for third in two other tournaments, the Topy Cup in Tokyo to kick off the fall season and the Golf World Invitational, which concluded the fall campaign... In the spring, she placed fifth at the Rainbow Challenge in Hawaii with a 5-over-par 221 (73-74-74) and tied for fifth at the Arizona Invitational in Tucson with a 3-under-par 213 (74-70-69)... Tied for 26th at the PING/Arizona State Invitational with a 16-over-par 232... Won the Cal State Amateur Championship during the summer of 1998.
Sophomore (1997-98) -- Won the Pac-10 individual championship... After building a seven-shot lead going into the final round, shot a 78 on the last day and held on for a three-shot win over teammates Heather Graff and Krissie Register... Daniels opened with rounds of 69 and 68 on the way to her final tally of 1-under-par 215... By winning the Pac-10 title, she became the third UA woman to do so, joining teammate Marisa Baena, who won it in 1996 and Annika Sorenstam in 1992... Was probably the Cats' most consistent golfer in 1997-98... In her final nine tournaments of the season, she had nine top-10 finishes... Her hot streak started in the fall at the Golf World Invitational when she tied for sixth... In all, she played in 11 tourneys with nine top-10 finishes... Second-best stroke average on the squad at 74.53... Tied for seventh at the NCAA West Regionals (even-par 219)... That total included a 4-under-par 69 in the second day of action... At the NCAA Preview in Madison, she tied for 48th with a 21-over-par 237... A first team All-Pac-10 performer... Earned All-American second team honors... Was Arizona's top finisher at the NCAA Championships, placing eighth with a 2-over-par 290... Shot a 2-under-par 70 in the second round while leading the Cats to a tie for second place after two rounds... Her performance at the NCAAs helped her rise from No. 8 to No. 4 in the final MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings... Was No. 44 in the fall rankings... In the summer of 1998, she captured the Cal State Amateur Championship.
Freshman (1996-97) -- Carded an 18-over-par 306 at the NCAA Championships, landing her in a tie for 49th place... Finished tied for 12th at the NCAA West Regional with a three-round score of 1-over-par 217... At the same tourney, shot her low round of the year (69)... Played a major role in the Wildcats' Pac-10 Championship, as she fired a final-round 3-under-par 70 to tie with teammate Krissie Register for fourth place... She finished with a 2-under-par total of 217... Played in four other tournaments in the spring... Had a pair of top-10 outings, including the San Jose Spartan Invitational and the Ping/ASU Invitational... In the fall, played in three tournaments and recorded a pair of top-20 placings... Her first action as a collegian was at the Rolex NCAA Preview where she tied for 27th (237)... Her other varsity competition was at the Golf World/Palmetto Dunes... She turned in her best performance of the fall season, tying for 14th with a 14-over par 230... Had a low round of 75 at the Golf World/Palmetto Dunes... Played in a junior varsity tournament in Flagstaff, Ariz., finishing in a tie for 18th with a two-round score of 162... A Golfweek Women's Preseason Division I Honorable Mention All-American... Named to Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 team... Owned a 70.25 stroke average.
