 Regional helped lift the Wildcats to their appearance in the NCAA
 Championships... Came back from a 79 in the third round to post the Cats'
 best final-round tally... Tied for 54th  with a 10-over-par 226... Tied for
 33rd at the Pac-10 Championships... His first tournament of the year was as
 an individual at the Ping/Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson... Tied for
 20th overall with a 4-over-par-217 (73-71-73)... Best outing of the season
 was the John Burns Intercollegiate, when he was the UA's top finisher... He
 tied for 18th with a three-round total of 5-under-par 211... He had rounds
 of 71-70-70... His 211 total tied with Derek Gillespie for the Wildcats'
 best three-round score of the season... That outing earned him a spot in
 the Cats' next two tournaments... He tied for 62nd at the Golf Digest
 Invitational (15-over-par-231) and tied for 40th at the Compaq U.S.
 Collegiate Championships (9-over-par-225)... He was Arizona's third-best
 finisher in the latter event... Tied for 46th at the ASU Thunderbird/Savane
 Invitational (222).
 High School: The 5A Golfer of the Year in 1996 for Canyon del Oro HighSchool in Tucson as well as the 5A South Region champion... Golf team
 captain in 1994 and 95... In addition to golf, earned letters in baseball
 and football... Was a 5A first-team All-City selection in baseball for 1997.
