Follows in the steps of his brother, Andy, who played for Arizona the past
four seasons... Ranked 17th in the country for the class of 1999 and 42nd
overall heading to Arizona... Had four runner-up finishes in his AJGA
career, including three in a row towards the end of 1999 (Scottsdale Junior
Championship, PING Junior Classic at Langden Farms and the Albertson's
Junior Championship).
High School: Played in the state championships three times while he was at
Lincoln HS in Stockton, Calif... Also competed in American Junior Golf
Association events and the United States Junior Amateur two years... Was
named the most valuable player of his golf team all four years of high
school... As a senior, was selected as Lincoln HS's Athlete of the Year...
Named the All-Area Golfer of the Year as well... In addition to golf, he
played halfback on the soccer team... Captain of the golf team for three
seasons... Lettered in golf four times and in soccer twice.
