CNNSI Tabs UA No. 7 Among Colleges for Women Athletes

TUCSON, Ariz. (August 23) - Sports Illustrated for Women recently ranked the nation's colleges and picked The University of Arizona as the No. 7 among top colleges for women's athletes.

Arizona reached its status by figuring strongly in the publication's evaluations according to numbers of national championships won, opportunities for participation by female student-athletes, graduation rates, financial aid and fan support -- plus a look at facilities, sports-related curricula, traditions and what CNN/SI called the "fun factor."
