Arizona: Competed for the first time on the collegiate level during 1999... Ran as the No. 6-7 runner throughout the season... Was the team's No. 6 runner in the last four meets of the season, including the NCAA Championships...Best finish was 26th overall at the Aztec Invitational... 2000 Track and Field... Ran 5:01.90 in the 1,500m at the Jim Click Shootout... Also tried her hand in the 400m hurdles, an event she competed in during high school, late in the season.

High School: Attended Flowing Wells H.S. in Tucson, Ariz... Earned four letters in cross country, track and field and soccer... Was the team captain in 1997 and 1998... Track and field MVP in '98... Earned all-city, all-region and all-state honors in 1995, '96 and '98... Earned an academic letter in '95, '96 and '98... First team all-city soccer player as a junior and senior... Placed third in both the 1,600m and 3,200m as a senior in high school... Was a member of the state champion 4x800m relay team in '97 with current UA teammate Erin Doherty.

Personal: Amanda Louise Ash... Born 8-17-80 in Lubbock, Texas... Daughter of Larry and Dorothy Ash... Has three younger siblings, Mindy, Jameson and Jacob... Enjoys running and spending time with family... Majoring in elementary education and would like to become a teacher and coach after graduation.
