General: A walk-on to the Arizona basketball program, he joins the team after attending high school in Phoenix, Ariz., at Brophy College Prep... A versatile athlete who can play on the wing and down low... Athletic and physical player who played on the inside in high school... Will be worked at along the perimeter as well at the UA...Coaches say he is a quick learner who will be valuable to the program on the scout team during his first year of college basketball... Joins Tucson native, John Ash, as one of the two walk-ons for the Wildcats this season... Father is former NBA standout Leonard  Truck Robinson, who played for the New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns, Washington Bullets and New Orleans Jazz... Joins junior Arizona basketball manager Will French as one of the two Brophy Prep products in the UA program.

High School: Played two seasons at Brophy Prep in Phoenix... Was injured as a junior and did not play... As a senior, he averaged 15 ppg and eight rpg for head coach Mark Granger... In his sophomore season, he averaged 11 ppg and six rpg... His team went 26-5 as a senior and 23-9 as a sophomore... His sophomore and junior seasons saw Brophy make it to the Arizona high school Final Four.

Personal: Michael Andrew Schwertley... Born 7-7-81 in Phoenix, Ariz... Son of Mary C. Schwertley and Leonard Robinson... Mother attended Arizona State and father went to Tennessee State... Majoring in education at the UA... Enjoys listening to music, watching movies, ESPN and Saturday Night Live.
