"When we saw what kind of a height advantage we had inside, we started to go right down there on them. We had heaqrd that (Deleware forward Darryl Presley) was about 6-8, but when to me he was more like 6-6, so I was able to take advantage of that. We knew that we had to go out and play like we are capable of. We are now able to go into the Pac-10 conference with a bang.

"I feel real good about the way that I played tonight. The last couple of games, I did not feel very comfortable in there, but tonight things started to kind of click for me. I got a lot more confidence and got things rolling."

Loren Woods
On wearing the headband:
"While I was putting it on, I kind of had images in my mind of Wilt (Chamberlain). I thought it was kind of silly when I bought it the other day with Josh (Pastner). But he said that it was the last game of 1999, the last game of the century, so I should wear it. The guys were excited about it, that thought it was cool. We had a lot of fun out there, and I think that helped with the win. I think it (the headband) is going to come out again against Cal.

"In practice, the coaches had been talking about how Delaware only had one shot to beat Arizona in McKale (Center), so they were going to take their best shot. We did not want to give them any chance. Now, I think that we have a little more confidence, and we have our legs under us again. It showed the first 35 minutes of the game, we were just running up and down the court.

"There is now way (we) should score less than any other team in the nation. We are as good as any other team, so we should be scoring a lot. Coach Ros (Rosborough) said before the game that we needed to go out and play like the No. 5 team in the nation. I said that we need to play like the best team in the country.

"I just got lucky out there. I was so wide open on some of those shots, if I missed them, I should have been benched. Mike (Wright) and Rich (Jefferson) deserve the MVP as much as I do. I was excited when they called my name out there because I have never been the MVP of any tournament. The team is really the one that deserves this award, though."

"We played out there, but there is a lot more that we can do better. We should go out there and beat a team like Delaware. That should not give us a lot of false confidence. We need to go out there and play well against a team like Stanford or Cal... that will give us some confidence."
