Guard Jason Gardner
On playing this weekend's games:
"The USC game was our first loss in the Pac 10. We want to beat them on our home court. When we played UCLA, they had a great game, and they're going to play hard on Saturday. They are going to battle. This is going to be a big game. Both USC and UCLA are going to come in here hungry."

On his shooting slump:
"Everybody goes through a slump. Hopefully I will improve. I made some shots in the last game which helped boost my confidence. I had a shooting slump in high school. I took some shots after practice and that helped."

On team practices:
"I have been lifting weights in the weight room. I've been practicing with Josh. Josh is a great coach. He gives me confidence. I have been looking at film with Coach Olson. He's been settling me down, talking about the shots that I take."

Forward Michael Wright
On the games this weekend:
"This is a big weekend for us. Right now, the Pac-10 race is between us and Stanford. USC is going to come in here and play hard. We play better at home. We feel more confident. At USC, the crowd was really into it. They were hyped to play us. The whole team was into it.

UCLA is desperate for a win. We beat them last time, and they are going to come out and play hard. They're going to pick it up a couple of notches. They're trying to get into NCAA Tournament."

On the elbow incident at USC:
"It was a mistake. I did it because I was frustrated. Our team was losing. I won't through an elbow ever again."

Guard Gilbert Arenas:
On playing at home:
"The team feels comfortable playing at home. I like playing away. I like the hostile environment. At home, it seems like only a couple of people yell. The kids yell."

On playing USC:
"They beat us last time, and we're going to have to play hard against them. They are going to come in here and want the win more. We're worried about the Pac 10 title. It us and Stanford battling for the title."
