The Cats improved to 12-8 with the win, while the Green Wave fell to 5-5.

Diggins, who struck out 13 in a complete game victory Friday, went deep in each of his first two at-bats for the first multi-homer game of his career and collected a team season-best 10 total bases. Senior Mike Meyer, making his first ever start at catcher, set career-best marks with four hits and three RBI, hit his first home run of the season and recorded the first stolen base of his career.

Sophomore Shelley Duncan reached base in all five of his plate appearances and scored a career-high five runs. Junior first baseman Ernie Durazo went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles, extending his career-best hitting streak to 16.

Senior Mike Crawford (4-3) allowed just one unearned run over 5.1 innings of relief to pick up the win. Senior southpaw Jared Berkowitz (2-1) took the loss for Tulane after allowing 10 runs, four of them earned in 1.2 innings of work.

Sophomore third baseman Jake Gautreau collected three hits and drove in a run for the Green Wave.

The two teams will wrap up their series Sunday at noon.
