Arizona Wins Basketball Exhibition Game

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Arizona's Gilbert Arenas scored 16 points in the Wildcats' 96-44 victory on Sunday over Lithuanian professional basketball team Alytus Alita.

Arenas provided the back court punch while 7-foot center Loren Woods scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Arizona.

The Wildcats took a 10-2 lead, extended the advantage to as many as 21 points in the first half, before coasting to an exhibition victory. Arizona went on to post a 53-point lead in the second half.

Richard Jefferson added 15 points while Rick Anderson had 11 points for the Wildcats. Alytus Alita was led by the 11-point effort from Robert Conley in McKale Center.
