Sepulveda Drives in Three as A&M Takes Series Finale
COLLEGE STATION, Texas---Sophomore left fielder Carlos Sepulveda singled, homered and drove in three leading Texas A&M to a 7-3 victory over Arizona in College Station Sunday afternoon. The Aggies took the final two contests of the three-game series.
Texas A&M improved to 5-6 win the win, while the Cats fell to 10-8.
Arizona out-hit the Aggies, 10-8, but hit into three double plays. Sophomore right-hander Khalid Ballouli (1-2) shut the Cats out for five innings to earn the victory. The Aggies scored two in the second and four in the third off senior right-hander Mike Crawford (3-3) and held a 7-0 lead after five innings.
Arizona junior first baseman Ernie Durazo extended his career-best hitting streak to 14 with a second-inning single. Freshman designated hitter Matt Abram hit his first home run.
Arizona returns home to take on No. 15 Tulane Friday at 3 p.m.
