Men's Tennis Falls to Top-Ranked Stanford

TUCSON, Ariz. The University of Arizona men's tennis team, ranked 71st, fell to 1st-ranked Stanford, 5-2, Saturday at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center. The Wildcats are 9-10 overall and 2-5 in Pac-10, while the Cardinal improved to 20-0 overall and 7-0 in Pac-10.
The undefeated Cardinal swept the Wildcats in doubles action.
The Cats earned two match points in singles play at the NO. 1 and 4 spots. Junior Alex Aybar upset 3rd-ranked Alex Kim at the top spot, 6-3, 6-2, while at the No 4 position Alex Brown defeated David Martin, 6-4, 6-3.
The Wildcats return to action Thursday for their last home match of the season, when they play host to Cal Poly April 20, at 1:30 p.m.
