STANFORD, Calif. The Arizona men's tennis team fell to 3rd-ranked Stanford,7-0, today at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium. The Wildcats fall to 8-6 overall, while the Cardinal improves to 14-0.
The Cardinal swept Arizona in doubles and singles play. In the top spot of singles play 89th-ranked junior Alex Aybar fell to 3rd-ranked Alex Kim, 6-2, 3-6,7-5. At the No. 5 spot, Ali Ansari defeated sophomore Caleb Marquardt, 6-3, 6-4, marking an end to his five match winning streak.
The Wildcats return to action tomorrow in Berkeley, California against 35th-ranked California, at noon.
