6.7.2000 Hillenbrand Aquatic Center the Site of Tucson Area Ford Dealers Southwest Classic Swim Meet TUCSON, Ariz. (June 7) --This weekend at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center the University of Arizona's men's and women's swim teams will compete against Arizona State and California's Anthony Ervin. Ervin holds the world record in the 50 Free s/m recording a 21.21 at this year's NCAA Championships. Ryk Neethling, Arizona alum and 2000 Pac-10 Champion in the 500-yard free and the 1650-yard free also will participate in the meet. On the women's side, 2000 NCAA 800 Freestyle s/m Champion Beth Botsford and 1996 Gold Medalist Amanda Beard are expected to compete. The event will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 9-11, at 6 p.m. MST. |
