The win moved the Wildcats (17-3 overall, 6-2 Pac-10) into a three-way tie for first place with Stanford and UCLA, and was the first loss at McArthur Court for the Ducks (14-6, 5-3) since Colorado State beat them 72-70 on Nov. 16, 1998.

After Arizona blew a 13-point second-half lead, the Ducks took a 58-57 lead with 3 1/2 minutes to play when Nicole Strange hit a medium-range jumper. But Willis responded with a layup at the other end to give the lead back to the Wildcats, and Arizona added five more points during a 15-second span to lead 64-58 with just over two minutes to go.
Down 32-31 at halftime, Arizona took command with an 18-4 run in the first five minutes of the second half for a 49-36 lead. The Wildcats connected on four 3-pointers during the run, including two by Willis.
