Arizona Head Coach Joan Bonvicini
"We played a lot better in the second half. It was a real sloppy game overall though. We had a lot of turnovers but give credit to Northern Illinois they played hard and battled the whole game. We have a big game ahead of us at Kansas and we need to play a lot better in order for us to win there. For the second straight game in a row we had a poor free throw shooting night and I'm really not pleased with that aspect of our game. I don't know if it's finals week or a lack of concentration that's causing our poor free throw performances of late but we have to pick it up at Kansas."
On Reshea Bristol:
"Reshea played really hard for us tonight. She brings a different look to our opponents because she's a slasher and she's continuing to mature in her game."
On Northern Illinois:
"They played really hard tonight and it's a growing experience for them. Carol Hammerle is a great head coach and she's turning that program around in the right direction."
On upcoming road trip:
"Kansas is a great team with a lot of great players. It's going to be a real battle for us. We're going to a hostile environment and we're going to have to raise our game to another level. We can play with anyone when we are playing at the level we are capable of."
