UCLA dominated the first half, registering four goals and holding Arizona scoreless. Freshman forward Jessica Winton notched the first goal of the game with her touch-and-go pass to Milburn that sent her shot into the back of the net in the 9th minute. Two minutes later sophomore midfielder Bethany Bogart grabbed the first goal of her career with her corner kick that sent the ball to the far post and into the net.

With 26:19 on the clock, Milburn notched her first goal of the game when she knocked the ball in past Wildcat goalkeeper Inger Airheart. Milburn then sealed the first half when she beat three defenders down the field and blasted the ball in from five yards out.

Arizona forward Katie Winship put the Wildcats on the scoreboard with 53:56 on the clock. UCLA then went on to score two more goals by sophomore midfielder Vanessa Clark and sophomore forward Courteney Cosso, respectively.

The Bruins outshot the Wildcats 22-4. Arizona goalkeeper Inger Airheart grabbed eight saves, while Shannon Monti made one. UCLA goalkeeper CiCi Peterson pulled down two saves and teammate Lindsay Culp did not need to make a single save.

UCLA's record improves to 10-2-0 overall and 2-0 in Pac-10 play, while the Wildcats fall to 6-6-0 overall and 0-3 in Pac-10 action.

The Bruins will be in action again next week when they host Washington State for a Pac-10 game on Friday, October 15 at 7:30 pm at Spaulding Field. UCLA owns a 4-1-1 series advantage over Washington State, having last defeated the Cougars 3-0 in Pullman.
