Arizona: Will be counted on to step up this year and compete in the top two for Arizona... Was a consistent No. 3 runner for the Wildcats in 1998... Finished eighth at the Aztec Invitational... Finished 21st in 18:10 at the Pac-10 Championships and was the was 17th at the NCAA West Regional in Fresno, Calif (17:33)... 1999 Track and Field... Qualified for the Pac-10 Championships and was the Wildcats' No.4 runner in the 1,500m... Best time of the year in the event of 4:36.01 came at the Arizona Elite Classic... Started the 1997 season well, but was slowed by injuries later in the year... Finished 12th (18:27) at the Jammin' Invitational, the first meet of the year... 50th (19:28) at the Pac-10 Championships... 1998 Track and Field... Qualified for the Pac-10 Championships in the 1,500m, but did not advance to the finals in the event... Had a strong start to her college cross country career in 1996, turning in five top-15 finishes in seven meets... Probably her best meet of the season was the District VIII Championships where she finished 10th in a time of 17:22... That gave Arizona three runners in the top-10... Placed eighth in the first race of her career, the Jammin' Invitational (18:17)... Finished 33rd (18:52) at the Pre-NCAA Invitational in Tucson... Placed 14th (17:44) at the Pac-10 Championships... Ended the season with a 60th place finish at the NCAA Championships (18:42)... Was a member of the Arizona track and field team.

High School: Prepped at Joel E. Ferris High School where she was a four-time letterwinner in both track and cross country... Ran anything from the 100m to the mile in track... The 1996 Washington State AAA 1,600m champion  (4:52.63)... That was the 12th best time in the national high school ranks for 1996... In her junior year, although she ran with a fever and bronchitis, she placed 21st at the state cross country championships... Placed seventh in the Eastern Washington Regionals... Was fourth in the 800m at the State AAA Track and Field Championships that same season... As a freshman, she was the State AAA High School Champion in the 800m (2:12.63)... A member of the honor roll during her junior and senior years and graduated with a 3.4 G.P.A.

Personal: Kristin Michelle Parrish... Born 5-4-78 in Portland, Ore... Parents are Stan and Stephanie Parrish... Has one 16-year-old brother, Justin... Both parents graduated from Washington State University... Undecided in her college major... Enjoys mountain biking, tennis, backpacking, skiing  and basketball... Has worked with the Spokane Parks and Recreation Department as a park leader for youth groups.
