Was the No. 2 runner for Maine and among the top 25 at the America East Conference meet... 1997 Scholar-Athlete award winner... Cross country and track and field representative for the Student-Athlete Advisory Board..

High School: Attended Thornton Academy in Saco, Maine... Lettered three times in indoor track and track, twice in outdoor track and field and once in soccer... A team captain in all three sports as a senior... Won the state indoor two-mile and was the one-mile runner-up as a senior... All-Southern Maine Athletic Association honoree in 1995 and '96 in track and field... Track teams were 1995 and '96 state champions... All-state laurels both years, as well... Very involved in school... Member of National Honor Society, Vice President of her senior class... Student guidance counselor.
