What to do when traveling to Orange County, places to visit, things to do, eating, sightseeing

California, the golden state, the home of a diverse group of people with many different interests and hobbies. Orange County is my home for my whole life. I grew up in the heart of Orange County, living around Anaheim for nearly three decades. Over the years, I have seen many changes, new buildings are emerging, old buildings are being destroyed, and tons of new businesses and events are emerging. Orange County is a wonderful place to live, and the amount of activities that can be located in and around the area are endless.

Everywhere you depart from Orange County can be reached within 1-2 hours by car. In the summer, beaches are the hot spot (meant to play words) People gather each summer to our beaches along the west coast and have a great variety to choose from. The beaches around Newport and Laguna are extremely pleasant, clean and uncompleted, and there are plenty of water sports. If you're looking to catch some waves, Huntington, Seal and Balls Chica State Beach have pretty good waves, although water is usually colder than other places. Huntington Beach has a beach-friendly beach ideal for pets who want to cool off and have fun with their dogs. Long Beach is not a preferred beach to play in the water because the harbors are located here and the water is not very sanitary (personal opinion)

For those of you looking for some nightlife, Orange County is filled with many activities you need to do in all the surrounding cities. The city centers always go down with people who are interested in taking a few drinks, hitting the clubs … or both. Fullerton's center is quite often traveled by students from college and young people. There are many different bars that you can check with very competitive rates, happy hours and many different types of music. There are also a number of breweries nearby for those who are not interested in coupons because they are catching up with some old friends. Similar to Downtown Fullerton, the same applies to Downtown Anaheim, Downtown Santa Ana, Downtown Orange and even to the new, renovated Downtown Buena Park.

There are plenty of places to eat and lots of different styles to choose from. Depending on what you are thirsty, I will say from personal experience that different cities cater to different ethnicities more than others. For example, from personal preferences, if you're looking for some big noodles, then Westminster, Irvine and Tuscino are quite popular for their Asian dishes. Ramen, Pho, Korean barbecue and like me feel the best in these cities. A few of my favorite city / service favorites will be: AYCE Korean BBQ – Star BBQ (Westminster), Cham Sut Gol (Westminster) and Mr. BBQ (Fullerton). Pho-iPho (Anaheim), Pho Thang Long (Westminster) – and most places in Westminster. American – Fuddruckers (Buena Park), Buena Park / Orange, Cheesecake Factory (Anaheim), Cypress / Fullerton Bar & Grill or Lazy Dogs Cafe (Brea). Apart from eating delicious food, there are plenty of things to do that are scattered all over Orange County.

Starting with our amusement parks – We are central to not only Disneyland but also to Berry Farm in Knott's and Knott's Soak City in summer. Besides amusement parks, there are many cinemas nearby, ranging from basic to 4D screens, including special effects, lighting and environmental interaction. Escape Rooms are interactive group / team brain games that are growing in popularity in Orange County. Some of my favorite companies are Crossroads, Puzzlebox and Square Room Escape. Again, from personal experience, they are all quite absorbing and are much lighter in terms of how well the hints relate to each other. For more sporting activities, there are several locations in Anaheim and Santa Ana for indoor climbing such as Rock City, Rockreation and Factory.

If you're looking to shop, there are countless places in all the surrounding cities. The Orange Outlets (formerly known as Blok) and Anaheim Plaza are two major shopping centers with different genres. Both are mostly outdoors and if you're looking for several indoor malls, Westminster, Brea and even Cerritos have huge malls filled with various shops. With all the shopping, eating and wandering around the places to stay?

There are a number of hotels, motels, boutiques and private hotels to choose from. Almost everywhere you live, there are several tons of things mentioned above that you can do and see within minutes. Many of these places offer competitive rates, many amenities, discounts and tips on how to spend your time here.

As you can see, the boundaries are endless in Orange County. You can do almost everything your heart desires for tourism, sightseeing, entertainment, eating, nightlife and more. As we look to the future, we will see more and more development. With the list of activities and the population that is growing, there will be more and more things to do. Orange County is a truly amazing place, and many travelers who end here have told me how satisfactory their trips were.
